As part of my “loss journey” I’ve created an area in my home that reflects the love I have for my husband ❤️. I have pictures, a receipt of the last item he bought, his I.d, his hat, love notes, cards, his favorite piece of jewelry, and I spruced it up with some decor. It’s literally my “happy” and “sad” place. I talk to him many days touching and holding some of the items. This is one way that has helped me push through- being able to express my love creatively in my own personal space where we once laid together.
This is not a solution and may not work for all but it’s an option to explore and try to release your pain and even your happiness.
As grief guides you, don’t fight it! Flow with it! ITS HARD AND THE PAIN IS UNBEARABLE AT TIMES, BUT IT HAS THE CAPABILITY TO RECREATE YOU!!
